Christ ALWAYS Shines Through

We are truly grateful for Eva's story. We are celebrating with her. Sometimes it is difficult to let go of our defenses and fully be present in God's light. But today, we can do that. We can fully let go in trusting Him. We hope that you are encouraged by Eva's story to share your light or to share with someone that you are sad, so your light may be bright again by God's love and grace! We pray that His light pours into each of us, so we may do the good works that He's planned in advance. In Jesus' name, Amen. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10.

Eva's Story

God has truly shown Himself in my life with the wonderful, beautiful people He has placed in my life. I am going through a very difficult transition in my life, but around every dark, scary corner He has placed someone to bring the light.

Never would I have thought I would find myself in a divorce. This is a situation I never imagined would be my life. But here I am. In the midst of that very battle. The days and nights and months and years have been extremely dark and frightening. I have no experience to navigate it. The shame and guilt rip me to shreds. Over these past 10 years, I struggled and cried rivers of tears. I couldn't eat. I couldn't sleep. Sometimes I felt like I couldn't breathe. I was just totally lost inside, trying to survive and remain professional on the outside. The darkest days of my life.

But the light of Christ ALWAYS shines through. He mends. He heals. He places people in our lives to walk the journey with us. I am continually amazed how He answers my prayer. For so long, I didn’t see any hope. But I trusted. I never doubted God’s presence. I lived minute but minute — doing the best I could. Not having a clue what the next minute held. So many curve balls. So many surprises. So many setbacks. Yet I never doubted His presence.

God never abandons us. Feel Him in the darkness. Open yourself to the small blessings He places in your life. I did and I began to see that He doesn’t prevent the bad times, He blesses them. Reach out. Tell someone you are sad and it releases so much pressure and stress and strain.

I had to sell my home. I had no place to go. Would I really be homeless? Then my friend suggested we take a ride one afternoon. “Show me the best dream of where you want to live,” she said. So we did. As I walked her through the 3 real estate deals I pursued that failed, I saw the handwritten “For rent” sign in the window. It was a unit in the same complex, but in better condition and with a better view than the others I had wanted.

The owner of this perfect place for my healing was a church friend. It all worked out to help me and help them. We trust each other. We can help each other. I will be living in my dream place. I will find peace and healing there. Thank You, God! He is with me. He has truly blessed me.
